Design One Celebrates Twenty
Design One hit an important milestone this month ... we celebrated our firm's 20th anniversary. When we opened our doors on Battery Park Avenue back during a recession in 1992 (in the former Enman's Fur building, now Kilwin's), there were no parking meters on the street, cars parked diagonally, JC Penney was still open just across the street and Woolworth's was still a dime store. The Grove Arcade was the Federal Building, and its street-facing windows were bricked up. After seven years there we moved across town to the Biltmore Building on Pack Square, followed by six years at our current location on Asheland Avenue. We've seen a lot of changes downtown, but our commitment to our clients and our community remains the same. Thank you to all who have been a part of contributing to twenty successful years in the city that we love so much!
